Guanacaste is located in the Northwest Pacific region of Costa Rica. It is the most visited place by tourists and is also the driest region. It is known for its great surfing and also places like Rio Celeste.. (LIR) the international airport in Liberia services this region.

This is a great base for sportfishing.

Monteverde is the cloud forest region. Lots of hiking and other great adventures. You feel like you are on top of the world here.

It is worth the drive to see this area.

Puntarenas in the largest province of Costa Rica and has so much to offer. Jaco area is a great beach and bustling tourist town. Great surfing in the area and a base for sportfishing in Los Suenos.  

The beauty of the Caribbean is amazing. The food has a nice ethnic influence of Jamaica. The is great surfing here, diving and snorkeling and beautiful beaches. 

Arenal in the La Fortuna area is known for its amazing amount of adventures. Some say that this area has boasted more adventure in one location than any place on earth. There are many resorts to pick from and relaxing thermal hot springs for relaxing after a full day of adventure.

San Jose is a very busy city and full of art, museums and great food. It is a perfect base area to get to many locations. Arenal is just over the mountains to the north and beaches in Jaco, Puntarenas is only a 90-minute drive.
